All employees across Satsuma City Schools gathered for Institute Day at Steele Creek Lodge on Thursday, Aug. 1. Everyone left inspired, motivated, and ready for the new school year, which began Thursday, Aug. 8.

Satsuma City Schools proudly announces the appointment of Dana Price as the Superintendent of Satsuma City Schools, pending contract negotiations. This decision follows a unanimous vote by the Board of Education at a special meeting held on Tuesday, July 23.

Satsuma City Schools proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Jason Golden as the new principal of Satsuma High School, following a unanimous decision by the Board of Education at a special meeting held Tuesday morning.

Last week, Satsuma Superintendent Dr. Timothy Guinn informed the board that he was being offered the superintendency at the Russellville City School System, a district he worked in for 22 years prior to coming to Satsuma.

Satsuma’s Lee Elementary has been recognized as a top school in Alabama for student reading skills.
