Hi, my name is Alene Deaton and I am the librarian/media specialist at Lee Elementary School. I have a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Communication from University of Mobile and a Master's degree in Library Media from University of West Alabama.  I am currently working on a Master's degree in Elementary Education from University of West Alabama. I love being able to see and teach all the students at the school.  I love to see their sweet, smiling faces come into the library every day.  Helping them find books and being excited about checking out new books is the highlight of my day.  I like to incorporate technology into my library lessons so we have quite a lot of fun with robots, augmented and virtual reality, and other various new online platforms. I love my job and look forward to a long career doing it. I am married to my best friend,  Jeremy, and we enjoy raising our children, going on dates, running our honey bee business, and starting new house projects together.  I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, talking with friends, watching my children play travel soccer, baseball, and football, hanging out with my family, and furthering my education and knowledge.  I am a mom to two beautiful children, Cassidy and Nathan whom I am so proud of.  I look forward to a fun year at LES with our amazing students!
