Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Dana Hawkins. I am starting my 24th year in public education and my 6th year with the Satsuma City School System. I previously worked with the Mobile County Public School System as a speech therapist and preschool special education service provider. During the upcoming school year I will be working as a special education resource and inclusion teacher. I am excited about this new adventure in my career.
I am a resident of the great city of Satsuma. I am married to Vince Hawkins, a graduate of Satsuma High School. I have two beautiful, smart and talented daughters, Rileigh and Lindsey. Rileigh is a recent graduate of Satsuma High School and the current Miss Satsuma High School. She will be attending Coastal Alabama Community College in the Fall. Lindsey is a Sophomore at Satsuma High School. She excels academically and is actively involved in band and tennis.
When I am not at Robert E. Lee, I can be found, with a book in hand, at the beach or by the pool in the backyard. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family taking walks and going out to eat. My favorite local restaurant is Pintoli's. (The greek salad is YUMMY!!)
I love the Satsuma City School System and Robert E. Lee Elementary because our administration, teachers and staff truly love the students in our school. We have a tremendous amount of support from our community. You have heard it said and it is true," There's Nothing Greater Than Being A Gator!!!"
