I am Rebecca Mitchell and I am teaching Geometry this year. For six years I have been a teacher and I've spent the last 3 years teaching math to grades ranging from 7th to 11th. I have a Master's degree and as of this past summer, I am a Nationally Certified STEM teacher. I am a Satsuma High School alumni and I'm so thankful to be teaching at my alma mater!

My husband also works at Satsuma High School in the Jr. High building. We have three children: Stella (4 years old), Beau (2 years old), and Levi (1 year old). My family keeps me very busy! We love to spend time together playing outside during the day and also watching movies together at night. 

Not only am I a math teacher, but I am also the coach of the JV cheer squad. This is my second year being part of this program, and I've really enjoyed spending time with my squad as well as supporting our male and female athletes. The JV squad, along with Varsity, competed in the AHSAA State Cheerleading competition for the 2020-2021 school year and succeeded in placing 3rd! After all of the hardships that everyone faced that school year, I was so thankful to end our cheer year with a huge accomplishment.
