Mr. Brad Threadgill

Brad Threadgill is a native from Creola and attended Satsuma High School where he was in the Spirit of Satsuma Band from years 2001-2005.  Threadgill went on to attend the University of Mobile where he received a Bachelor of Science in Music for Teacher Certification with concentration in Trumpet.  During that time he was the private trumpet instructor at several arts academies and a brass clinician teaching in band programs throughout the Southeast.  Mr. Threadgill also taught at Spanish Fort Middle and High Schools for one full semester before concluding his studies at the University of Mobile.  He then went on to play trumpet professionally for several months before being hired by the Mobile County Public School System as the Band Director at Satsuma High School in 2011.  Threadgill stayed with Satsuma during the formation of the Satsuma City School District and now serves as the Band Director of both the middle and high school programs.  In August of 2015, Threadgill completed his graduate level studies at Auburn University and received a Master’s Degree in Music Education.  Under the direction of Mr. Threadgill The Spirit of Satsuma Music Program currently consists of the marching band, beginning band, advanced band, symphonic band, jazz band, small ensembles, indoor percussion unit, indoor winterguard (Cayman Prodigy) and a pep band.  Mr. Threadgill and his wife Kylie, currently reside in the North Mobile area
