Dr. Amy Haskins, Assistant Principal

I began my career as a Chemical Engineer at a local chemical plant. It was through our Partnership in Education with Adam's Middle School, that I decided to completely change career paths and become an educator. I have never once regretted this decision!

I taught mathematics and engineering at W.P. Davidson High school for 13 years. My co-workers and I develop the EPIC (an engineering small learning community) and IB programs at Davidson. I served as the EPIC Coordinator and Academy specialist.

I left Davidson to join the wonderful team of teachers at Satsuma High School. At Satsuma, I taught mathematics and engineering classes.

After three years of teaching, I became one of the Assistant Principals. My primary responsibilities involve working with the 7th and 8th grade levels. I am always striving to find innovative and data-driven ways to improve our school. I love our school, I love our community, and most of all, I love your children! Go Gators!!
